Bristol Folk House

We love the Bristol Folk House so much that we’ve decided to use it for both our Friday and Saturday night parties! The centre began in the 1870’s with the aim of supporting access to education in the community and still provides a variety of courses and workshops. It also has a cracking dance floor in it’s main hall as well as a separate café/bar area.

You’ll need to enter an alley from Park Street to find the Folk House, luckily it’s indicated with a blue signpost.

Southville Centre

The Southville community Centre is a unique and ethical venue in a grade II listed building run by a registered charity. The Centre embodies Bristol’s giving nature by providing support to local groups and the community in wide and diverse ways.

Our Gert Lush track and Sunday tea dance will be taking place in the Centre’s beautiful and light main hall with 137 square metres of shiny parquet flooring and a vaulted ceiling.

You will be able to help yourself to tea/coffee and cake during our Sunday tea dance, all funded by your loving Bal Loon team. Just a little treat to say thank you for being so baloody brilliant!

Faith Space Bristol

Our Ark a Tee track will be taking place at Faith Space Bristol, a remodelled Methodist Church. More than a church or community centre, it’s a new kind of venue for the 21st Century. The centre is open to those of all faiths or none in order to give local people a space to share in community activities. Can we get a balelujah!
